I don’t want to take a catch, Nasir’s jab at Bangladesh fielders

Desk Report:

Bangladesh fielded like butter on their hands against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup Super Four. One catch after another was missed. Seeing the poor condition of the fielders, all-rounder Nasir Hossain, who once played regularly for the national team, took to social media to criticize them.

Nasir wrote on his verified Facebook page, “I will not take a catch, my wish is. Even then, we will win the match, InshaAllah.”

Electing to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sri Lanka scored 168 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Bangladesh contributed to this capital of the Sri Lankans. Bangladesh dropped three catches in the opponent’s innings. Dasun Shanaka and Charit Asalankara took advantage of that opportunity to increase their runs.

Bangladesh dropped their first catch in the 17th over bowled by Mustafizur Rahman. Shamim Hossain Patwary dropped Shanaka’s catch on the fifth ball of that over.

In the next over bowled by Shariful Islam, Towhid Hridoy failed to catch Asalanka. This young batsman also dropped the catch of the Sri Lankan captain in the 19th over bowled by Mustafiz. Fans expressed their annoyance on social media as Hridoy and Shamim dropped catches like this. Nasir was also not left out.
